The new Jupiter 110 promises to be quite a strong player in the 110 cc scooter space
August sparked to be quite a promising month for TVS as it managed to better its last year’s performance by a handsome margin. Especially in the domestic market, the scooter segment really helped TVS, being the major driving force in the positive growth. Here’s how many units it sold:
| August 2024 | August 2023 | Growth |
Domestic | 2,89,073 | 2,56,619 | 13% |
Export | 99,976 | 87,515 | 14% |
Total | 3,78,841 | 3,32,110 | 14% |
The monsoons have been pretty favourable for TVS. While there have been no new motorcycles from the brand to speak of, the Apache series of bikes and Raider 125 have been pulling in steady numbers. In August, TVS sold 1,70,486 bikes, which registered an 11 percent growth.
The scooter segment might not have contributed as handsomely as the motorcycles but they were certainly the main reason for the massive improvement in sales performance. From 1,42,502 scooters in August 2023, TVS managed to grow this vertical by 15 percent, selling 1,63,629 scooters last month. To add to this, the recent launch of the Jupiter 110 will make a sizeable improvement to its sales numbers from the month of September.
The Jupiter 110 received a generational makeover in August. The scooter got a brand new, larger 113 cc heart with the iGo Assist (micro-hybrid) boost helping in generating better mid-range torque and improving the fuel efficiency on daily commutes.
