Ultraviolette Automotive has been pretty vocal about establishing itself as a global player right from the start. Its debut bikes have always had the performance and flair to fit into the European bike scenario. “As an Indian company, we are proud to bring futuristic design and cutting-edge technology to the world. This is a moment of global recognition for the talent and capability within India’s engineering and manufacturing ecosystem,” noted Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette.

The difference between the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and SuperStreet lies in their ergonomics, wherein the former has a more sporty stance courtesy clip-on handlebars, while the latter gets a straight handlebar and an upright upper body posture. Both are available with Recon variants that gets you the bigger 10.3 kWh battery that is good for an IDC claimed range of 323 km. The top-spec Recon variants take it up a notch with more performance on tap, helping the bike do the 0-60 kmph acceleration sprint in just 2.3 seconds. As for its features, Ultraviolette has not skipped a beat here. From 10-levels of regen braking to four levels of traction control, stability control, a fully digital instrument console and much more – the F77s gets all the essentials and some more as well.

While Ultraviolette is creating quite the noise in foreign shores, the brand has an equally exciting future lined up for India. For starters it has two new products awaiting deliveries – the Tesseract and Shockwave. The former is the first of its kind electric scooter that will come with ADAS functionalities and is priced at just ₹1.20 lakh, while the latter is a light, nimble, and proper enduro bike priced at ₹1.50 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Both the products look quite promising and sound equally exciting on paper, just like the F77s at the time of launch. So our expectations are riding quite high on these two upcoming products. Later on, Ultraviolette is slated to go public wherein the brand is planning to raise about $500 million (₹4,343 crore) which will allow it to further expand its production capabilities as well. The IPO will also further arm UV the means to expand into more territories in the future, and it is already eyeing Latin America next, and other key Asian markets
