Ultraviolette announced today that its F77 Mach 2 electric bike has received the necessary certification for it to go on sale in European markets. The company received the global certification under the ‘United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE)’ and also received the L3e certification. With this new certification, Ultraviolette can sell the F77 Mach 2 now in 40 countries including the European Union. The premium electric motorcycle brand is currently shipping to Germany and Turkey in the EU. Ultraviolette will also be present at the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show alongside other Indian brands such as Hero MotoCorp and Royal Enfield where it will be showcasing the F77 Mach 2.
Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, said, "Achieving this international certification is a monumental moment for us, as it opens doors to a much larger global audience. This certification is not just a regulatory milestone, but a reflection of our relentless pursuit of world-class standards in design-led performance. We are thrilled to introduce this groundbreaking machine to the demanding markets of Europe, who will appreciate Ultraviolette’s prowess in cutting edge technology, engineering and design.”
Certified under the UNECE L3e category, the F77 Mach 2 electric motorcycle can be sold to both A1 and A2 licence holders in Europe. UV also becomes the first Indian electric bike brand to get this certification and to export electric motorcycles to the European market. In other news, Ultraviolette is also planning to set a new top speed record for an Indian manufactured bike with the F99, which it calls India’s first superbike.
