Ultraviolette is set to launch the Tesseract electric scooter later this year.
Since its launch in March 2025, the Ultraviolette Tesseract electric scooter has garnered over 60,000 pre-bookings, marking a strong entry into the segment for the Bengaluru-based EV startup. Priced at ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers, the Tesseract saw an impressive 20,000 bookings within the first week, prompting the company to extend the introductory price to the next 30,000 buyers. After this phase, the base variant is priced at ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Ultraviolette has yet to announce pricing for the mid-spec and top-spec variants, which will come equipped with larger 5 kWh and 6 kWh battery packs, respectively. Alongside, Ultraviolette has secured pre-bookings of more than 7,000 Shockwaves, which was launched at the same time.
While Ultraviolette has yet to reveal the complete technical specifications of the Tesseract, key details have already emerged. The electric scooter is expected to reach a top speed of 125 kmph, positioning it among the fastest in its class. What truly sets the Tesseract apart, however, is its segment-first feature list. It will be India’s first electric scooter equipped with ADAS functionalities, including blind spot detection, front and rear radars for adaptive cruise control, and even a smart dashcam. On the safety front, the Tesseract will offer dual-channel ABS—likely standard—alongside two-level traction control and four levels of regenerative braking, making it one of the most tech-laden scooters in the country.

Deliveries for the Ultraviolette Tesseract are scheduled to begin by the first quarter of 2026. Given the overwhelming demand, there's hope that the company sticks to its timeline. Ultraviolette’s debut model, the F77, faced multiple delays, and enthusiasts are hoping the same doesn’t repeat with the Tesseract—or the upcoming Shockwave. Interestingly, following the launch of both models, Ultraviolette also plans to go public. To know more about the company’s IPO ambitions, click the link here.
