Automotive components supplier Uno Minda has rolled out a two-variant engine coolant range, the company announced on Thursday, adding a tropical formulation and an anti-freeze option to its aftermarket portfolio. The products are available through Amazon India, Flipkart and the company's own platform, Unomindakart, as well as through brick-and-mortar retail outlets. Both variants are built around Organic Acid Technology (OAT) and high-performance additives. The tropical coolant, retailing at ₹272, is designed to manage heat dissipation in high-temperature conditions, while the anti-freeze version, priced at ₹575, is intended to prevent engine fluid from freezing in colder climates.
Each offers protection against rust, corrosion and oxidation, and comes in concentrated form, allowing the user to dilute it for a variety of vehicle types.
"As vehicles today operate across varied and often demanding conditions, the need for dependable engine protection is more important than ever. Designed to perform across temperature extremes, the tropical coolant enables efficient heat dissipation in high temperatures, while the anti-freeze coolant prevents freezing in low temperatures, ensuring smooth engine operation. Its OAT-based formulation enhances service life and protects against rust, corrosion, and oxidation.
"The concentrated formulation allows flexible dilution and ensures compatibility with a wide range of vehicles, making it a dependable solution for consistent engine protection. Our new coolant is engineered to offer consistent performance, durability, and flexibility, ensuring enhanced engine life and efficiency for our customers," Anand Kumar, Business Head of Uno Minda Aftermarket, said in a statement.
Uno Minda's aftermarket arm spans more than 30 product categories, covering two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, tractors and off-road vehicles.
The division's distribution network reaches over 40,000 retailers and 70,000 service points across more than 600 districts in India.
