The first half of 2026 has been nothing short of action-packed for India's two-wheeler industry, with manufacturers introducing a steady stream of new motorcycles, scooters, facelifts and special editions across every segment. From affordable commuters and feature-packed scooters to premium adventure bikes and performance machines, buyers have had plenty to choose from. But the excitement is far from over. The remaining months of 2026 promise an even bigger wave of launches, with several highly anticipated motorcycles and scooters from leading brands set to make their debut. Here's a look at the most exciting upcoming bikes of 2026 that are expected to keep enthusiasts and buyers eagerly waiting.

1. Ather EL-01

Expected Launch Date - August, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹70,000-90,000

Tarun_Mehta_7680eb4044.webp

Ather is gearing up to launch an all-new scooter based on the new EL platform. Codenamed the EL01, the new electric scooter will be the most affordable scooter in its portfolio. The new Ather scooter will be a family scooter similar to the Rizta and the styling will be relatively sober and not too radical.

Ather has also designed and developed a new platform that has been designed for their upcoming product. This new platform is built in mind with scalability, versatility and cost optimisation and we can expect multiple models based on it in the next 5-7 years. It can accommodate battery packs ranging from 2 kWh to 5 kWh and we expect the new scooter to be offered in multiple variants. Being a family scooter, it’s expected to have good under-seat storage space, large enough to accommodate 2 half-face helmets.

It will be the first Ather scooter to ride on a 14-inch front wheel, which should improve stability thereby giving the rider more confidence. The new Ather electric scooter will go on sale in the next couple of months and will compete against the Bajaj Chetak C25, Vida VX2 2.2 kWh and the TVS Orbiter.

2. 2026 Bajaj Pulsar Classic Range

Expected Launch Date - July-August, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹95,000-1,32,000

Bajaj Pulsar Classic.webp

The Bajaj Pulsar has been synonymous with the identity of the Bajaj Auto brand. It has been its most popular product and as the company celebrates its 25th anniversary, the big announcement will be the update of the entire Pulsar portfolio which includes the Pulsar 125, 150 and the Pulsar 180. These bikes are the bread and butter offerings, while the design has been tweaked over the years, the entire portfolio was aging a lot and deserved a complete overhaul. The styling will be tweaked to make it more modern while maintaining the iconic muscular Pulsar styling DNA which has been a key factor in the bikes success.

The engine too will be updated to improve performance and more importantly the focus will be to refine NVH levels to give it a proper modern makeover. The chassis will be all new and the new range of Pulsars will ride on a mono-shock suspension as seen on the Pulsar N and NS series. The 2026 Bajaj Pulsar is also expected to feature a revised LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and also navigation.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F.webp

Since the Bajaj Pulsar 220F recently received a minor facelift, it was speculated whether it too will get an overhaul or not? However, our sources have confirmed that the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar 220F is also under development and an all-new bike will be launched. The new range of 2026 Classic Pulsars are expected to go on sale by the festive season or just prior to it.

3. Bajaj Dual Purpose Bike

Expected Launch Date - November-December, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹1.45-1.50 lakh

bajaj-adv

While all-eyes were on the upcoming range of next-generation Pulsars, Bajaj stealthily started developing and testing a new dual-purpose motorcycle. This will be the first Bajaj bike to be launched in this niche segment and it will fall under a new brand name altogether.

The closest competitor to this bike is the Hero XPulse 210 and we could also see a lot of similarities to the older Hero Impulse. The test mule was running a 19/17-inch spoke wheel set-up with a good amount of ground clearance. The new Bajaj bike will be a perfect ally on trails and can be a decent entry-level dirt bike too.

What remains to be seen is the engine displacement, given the extensive line-up of powerplants the company possess, the new bike can either be powered by a 160 cc, 200 cc or even a 250 cc heart. There are also some reports of an all-new brand from Bajaj for bikes between 125-250 cc, but details regarding it are scarce and we will have to wait to get more information on the same. The new Bajaj dual-purpose bike will also be exported as such a genre of bikes are hugely popular in Latin America.

4. Honda ADV 160

Expected Launch Date - October-November, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹1.80-2.00 lakh

Honda-ADV-160-1.webp

Honda is expected to go bold in its approach for 2026 by introducing the ADV 160, its second most powerful scooter for India after the Honda Forza 300 launched way back in 2020. The Honda ADV 160 is an adventure-styled maxi scooter which is quite unique and will be sold via Honda Big Wing dealerships.

The big USP of the scooter is its styling as it looks sporty, rudded and in-your-face. Powering the scooter is a 157 cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine pushing out 15.80 bhp and 14.7 Nm of torque, which should make it quick and fun to ride.

The USPs of the scooter includes long travel suspension from Showa, 27-litres of under seat storage, 5-inch TFT display and a traction control system. Just like the Hero Xoom 160 and the Yamaha Aerox 155,, the Honda ADV 160 also features a spine, which kind of restricts its utility aspect.

5. Royal Enfield Himalayan 750

Expected Launch Date - December, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹4.00-4.50 lakh

Royal_Enfield_Himalayan_750_EICMA_476d050f14.webp

This has to be the biggest launch from Royal Enfield in the past couple of years and given the sheer volume of new products introduced, the flagship Himalayan stands out. Although it’s called the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750, the new bike isn't an off-road bike like the Himalayan 450, but more of a tourer.

It features a new 750 cc twin-cylinder engine which still isn’t liquid cooled and should deliver close to 50-55 bhp and feature a 6-speed gearbox. The frame, fuel tank and the swingarm are all-new to better suit the dynamics of the Himalayan 750. It also features a twin disc brake setup on the front wheel for better stopping power. The flagship Royal Enfield bike will also get features such as ride mode, switchable ABS, cruise control and a quick shifter too.

While the model showcased in Italy was running on 19/17-inch tubeless spoke wheels, but an alloy wheel variant has also been spotted testing on Indian roads. This leads us to believe that the Himalayan 750 could be offered in different variants.

6. Royal Enfield Continental GT 750

Expected Launch Date - December, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹3.70-4.00 lakh

Royal_Enfield_Continental_GT_R_750_1_8f23e2248d.webp

On the sidelines of the Himalayan 750, the upcoming Continental GT 750 race bike was also showcased at the 2025 EICMA motorcycle show and later at Motoverse in Goa. The styling of the new bike will be different with a redesigned cowl to make it look more retro and sportier.

It features a new 750 cc twin-cylinder engine which still isn’t liquid cooled and should deliver close to 50-55 bhp and feature a 6-speed gearbox The chassis has been revised to improve the handling dynamics and the cafe racer now sports Showa suspension. It could also receive higher-spec tyres to improve its handling dynamics.

7. Royal Enfield Himalayan 440

Expected Launch Date - July, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹2.50-2.60 lakh

re-himalayan-profile.webp

While the Himalayan 750 will script a new chapter for brand RE, the OG Himalayan is set to make a comeback in 2026. The main reason for the re-launch of the Himalayan is to bridge the price gap in its ADV portfolio as the Himalayan 450 is above ₹3 lakh.

The Himalayan 440 will have the same styling, underpinnings including the 21/19-inch spoke wheels as seen on the OG Himalayan. Powering it will be the new 443 cc, single-cylinder motor as seen on the Scram 440 delivering 25 bhp and 34 Nm of torque. The new engine features a 6-speed gearbox and this will improve the touring performance of the upcoming Himalayan 440.

8. Triumph Bonneville 400

Expected Launch Date - September, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹1.90-2.10 lakh

Triumph Bonneville 400 (1).webp

Triumph commenced its made-in-India innings with the Speed 400, but we feel it would have been better to make its debut with the legendary Bonneville badge instead. The most crucial bit will be the styling of the new bike as the iconic Bonneville design has stood the test of time and it will be important that Triumph designers get it right along with the proportions.

Finally the Royal Enfield Classic 350 will have a tough contender as it has dominated the roadster space as the Bonneville 400 has both legacy and expected to feature similar characteristics which helped make the Classic 350 so popular. Powering the bike will be a 349 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine and we are expecting the softer T4 engine tune. The Bonneville 400’s powerplant will deliver 29 bhp and 31 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The underpinnings have been altered with a new chassis and the baby Bonneville is running on telescopic fork and twin shock absorber set up, which suits its retro DNA. The instrument console too is different and the bike features a single-pod unit which seems to be a TFT unit.

9, Yamaha YZF-R2

Expected Launch Date - September, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹2.00-2.20 lakh

Yamaha YZF-R2.webp

One of the biggest launches of 2026 will be the new Yamaha R2. Yamaha is expected to introduce the much-anticipated YZF-R2 in August, marking the brand's entry into the 200 cc fully-faired motorcycle segment. The upcoming bike will be positioned between the R15 and the R3, and will act as a good upgrade option for the many R15 owners as the R3 was exorbitantly expensive. Another reason for Yamaha to launch the new R2 is the success received by the KTM RC 200 and the fact there is a scarcity of good full-faired motorcycles in the 200 cc segment.

The new Yamaha bike is likely to feature a bored-out version of the 155 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as seen on the Yamaha R15. The new 200 cc engine could deliver 24 bhp and 19 Nm of torque. The bike will feature a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter. As for underpinnings, the deltabox frame, suspension kit and braking hardware too will be shared with its younger sibling.

10. Hero Karizma XMR 250

Expected Launch Date - August, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹1.80-1.95 lakh

Hero Karizma XMR 250.jpg

The Hero Karizma XMR 250 is basically the faired version of the Xtreme 250R and was first unveiled at EICMA 2024. It was expected to make its debut last year as the bike was also showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. However,  the launch has been delayed as Hero has been struggling with scaling up Xtreme 250R production.

The styling of the bike has been inspired from the Karizma XMR 210, but it looks bigger and sportier in comparison. It’s powered by a 250 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill delivering 29.58 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 25 Nm of peak torque produced at 7,250 rpm. On the features front, the upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 250 will carry forward the 4.2-inch TFT instrument console that we have already experienced on the new top-spec Hero XPulse 210.

11. Hero XPulse 421

Expected Launch Date - November-December, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹3.00-3.20 lakh

Hero Xpulse 421.png

Yes, even I am tired of building expectations and looking forward to the big ADV promised by Hero many years back! In fact at the 2025 EICMA motorcycle show we thought the production version of the ADV motorcycle would be uncovered but there were no signs of the bike. However, the Hero XPulse 421 was undergoing high altitude testing in Leh and this gives us hope. The styling is very different from the existing XPulse 210 and Hero has opted for a new design direction and with respect to features, the upcoming Hero Xpulse 321 will get a TFT instrument cluster, multiple ride modes, cruise control and traction control.

The bike is expected to be powered by a 420 cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine should be good enough to deliver around 43 to 45 bhp. It also gets an all-new trellis frame and is suspended on long travel suspension on either ends and runs on non-tubeless spoke wheels. So as you can see it has got the basics right, at least, on paper and we are really hopeful that the XPulse 421 finally goes on sale to take on the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

12, Vinfast Electric Scooter Range

Expected Launch Date - August, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹1.00-1.20 lakh

VinFast Electric Scooter New.webp

We broke the news back in January that Vinfast is developing a new range of India-specific electric scooters. In total, six scooters are under development, and Vinfast will commence its Indian two-wheeler operations with two electric scooters. The above strategy could be because the mainstream electric scooters in our market like the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta and the Vida VX2 offer higher performance and range in comparison to its global range of scooters.

The Vinfast scooter is expected to deliver around 140 km of range and will have swappable batteries as seen on the Honda Activa electric. The company also has plans to set up battery swapping stations at Hindustan Petroleum outlets across the nation. The made-in-India Vinfast scooters will be exported to the Middle East, African and a few South East Asian countries thereby showcasing the trust and the long term positioning the brand has for India.

13, Norton Atlas 650

Expected Launch Date - November, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹6.00-7.50 lakh

Norton Atlas

Norton unveiled two new motorcycles at the 2025 EICMA motorcycle show, while the Norton Manx has the sheer performance and appeal, it’s the Atlas 650 which got us more excited from the Indian context. The Atlas range comprises two models - Atlas and the Atlas GT. The major difference between these two bikes are the wheels - the ADV rides on a 19/17-inch spoke wheel set up with off-road rubber, whereas the GT is specced with 17/17-inch alloy wheels with road-biased tyres.

One look at the Norton  Atlas and one needs to agree that the designers did a wonderful job with the bike. It has the big ADV stance with a tall windscreen and chunky fuel tank. The overall styling is very clean and modern. The Atlas and Atlas GT are powered by a liquid-cooled 585 cc parallel-twin engine featuring a 270-degree crankshaft configuration. The powerplant produces 69 bhp at 9,300 rpm and 57.5 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox, slipper clutch and standard bi-directional quickshifter.

Both motorcycles feature a Bosch six-axis IMU supporting lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, wheelie control, rear slide control and cornering cruise control. Riders can choose from five riding modes – Urban, Rain, Sport, Tour and Enduro. Apex variants add electronic combined braking and vehicle hold control, features more commonly associated with larger-capacity premium motorcycles. The Norton Atlas will be manufactured in India at TVS’s Hosur facility which should help the brand pricing it more competitively. It will compete against the Kawasaki Versys 650, Honda NX500 and the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750.

14. Norton Manx R

Expected Launch Date - July, 2026
Expected Pricing (ex-showroom) - ₹20-24 lakh

Norton Manx R V4.webp

The Norton Manx is the flagship sportsbike from the British brand as it makes a comeback under the stewardship of TVS Motor. The styling of the bike is sporty, clean and very aggressive. It’s powered by a 1,200 cc, liquid-cooled V4 engine delivers over 203 bhp, making it amongst the most powerful production superbikes in the world.

The electronics package includes an 8-inch TFT display, a six-axis IMU, traction control, wheelie control, slide control and multiple riding modes. The base variant of the Manx gets Marzocchi suspension hardware, cast aluminium wheels and Brembo Hypure braking kit. The Norton Manx will be manufactured in the UK, but some components will be built in India and sent to the UK factory. With the FTA in place, we expect the pricing to be competitive by superbike standards.
