Samsung has unveiled its latest fan edition smartphone, the Galaxy S24 FE, in India, starting at Rs 59,999. It features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Samsung Exynos 2400e chipset. It features a versatile triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, and comes loaded with Galaxy AI features running on Android 14 with One UI 6.1. The Galaxy S24 FE has a 4,700mAh battery, 5G support and advanced security features. The pre-bookings are already open, and sales are set to begin on October 3.
Lava is set to launch its highly anticipated Agni 3 smartphone on October 4, featuring a design reminiscent of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The device boasts dual AMOLED displays: a 1.5K 120Hz curved screen on the front and a unique 1.74-inch secondary display on the rear, functioning as a selfie viewfinder and offering additional utilities. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, the Agni 3 will sport a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor featuring OIS and a telephoto lens. Notable features include a customizable Action key, Dolby Atmos support, and a price point under Rs 30,000.
Infinix is set to debut in the foldable smartphone market with the Zero Flip, its first clamshell-style device that could potentially launch in India this month. The Zero Flip features a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED main screen with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, complemented by a 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display. The device boasts a triple 50MP camera setup, including a primary sensor with OIS, an ultrawide lens, and a selfie camera. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, the Zero Flip comes with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. It runs on XOS 14.5 based on Android 14 and promises two years of Android updates. The phone's 4,720mAh battery supports 70W fast charging. With its zero-gap hinge design and ability to function as a tripod, the Infinix Zero Flip, priced at approximately $645 in Nigeria, aims to compete in the growing foldable market.
Tecno's latest foldable smartphones, the Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 could launch in India in October. Both phones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets and feature AMOLED screens. The Phantom V Fold 2, a book-style foldable, has a 6.42-inch outer screen and a 7.85-inch inner display, powered by the Dimensity 9000+ chipset with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It sports a triple 50MP rear camera setup and dual 32MP inner cameras. The device runs on Android 14 with HiOS 14, supports the Phantom V Pen, and packs a 5,750mAh battery with 70W fast charging.
The Phantom V Flip 2 is a clamshell-style foldable with a 6.9-inch main screen and a 3.64-inch cover display. It has the Dimensity 8200 chipset, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The camera setup includes dual 50MP rear cameras and a 32MP inner camera. Both devices offer 5G connectivity and run on Android 14.
