Nine new products/variants are in the pipeline from Ultraviolette.
Ultraviolette took its boldest step yet as it launched an electric scooter and India’s first electric enduro bike yesterday. Apart from these two radical products which not only makes the UV brand more accessible to the masses, the company also showcased its future direction and upcoming products at the event. Based on the slide shown on the screen, we can confirm that two more electric scooters will be launched after the Ultraviolette Tesseract electric scooter. The upcoming scooters will be based on the Tesseract platform, now whether these scooters will be more premium or affordable is something we will have to wait and watch. However, we think UV might take the premium direction as the Tesseract itself is competitively priced.
The Ultraviolette Shockwave created a lot of buzz among off-road riders yesterday and even in this platform there are two more variants expected in the future. The under development Shockwave variants could come with a more powerful motor, adjustable suspension and better kit for off-road riding.
X might be the flavour for adventure seekers too as even Ultraviolette's X series will showcase its future adventure tourers. There will be some learnings from the F77 platform that will pass on here as well. And we saw a concept of the same at EICMA 2024. However, expect this X series to be more on the lines of a Kawasaki Versys 650 and not a KTM 390 Adventure, which is kind of a serious do-it-all motorcycle. The X series too will have three iterations, with varying battery packs and adventure capability levels.
The Ultraviolette B series is the most intriguing as the silhouettes of the bikes used are very different from each other. One bike has a cafe racer vibe to it whereas the other motorcycle looks like a sporty naked offering. While no stipulated timelines have been revealed for the launch of these upcoming Ultraviolette offerings, we know for a fact that the company is trying to launch all the above in the coming to 3 to 4 years. The first challenge for the company will be to ensure that the UV Shockwave and the Tesseract are launched in Q1 of 2026 as timelines and EV brands don’t share a cordial relationship.
