The synthetic oil is engineered for compliance with Bharat Stage VI emission norms and backward-compatible with BSIV engines
Valvoline Cummins India has launched All Fleet Full Synthetic CK4, marking India’s first fully synthetic CK4 engine oil designed specifically for heavy-duty commercial vehicle diesel engines.
All Fleet Full Synthetic CK4 delivers up to 60% cleaner pistons and 60% better wear protection than a market-standard CK-4 specification oil. Engineered for compliance with Bharat Stage VI emission norms and backward-compatible with BSIV engines, the formulation boasts a high viscosity index for stable oil thickness at extreme temperatures, excellent low-temperature flow to reduce startup wear in cold regions, and enhanced oxidation control to safeguard engines under sustained high heat.
Cost efficiency is central to the new oil’s appeal. Reduced volatility minimises evaporation losses and lowers oil consumption, while strong oxidation stability extends drain intervals—offering fleet operators long-term engine protection and cleaner internals without frequent top-ups.
In comparison, competitors such as Shell Rotella Ultra CK4 and Castrol Vecton ProFuel CK4 rely on semi-synthetic blends that deliver respectable performance but fall short in wear protection and thermal stability. All Fleet Full Synthetic CK4’s fully synthetic base oil and low SAPS (sulphated ash, phosphorus, sulphur) formulation not only protect modern after-treatment systems like EGR, DPF, SCR and DOC but also sustain peak performance across legacy and next-generation engines.
Sandeep Kalia, Managing Director of Valvoline Cummins India, emphasised the joint venture’s commitment to real-world innovation: “All Fleet Full Synthetic CK4 offers cleaner engines, longer drain intervals and robust wear protection—helping fleets reduce downtime and boost operational efficiency.”
