VinFast VF e34 e-SUV Spotted Testing In India For The First Time

VinFast, the Vietnamese automaker, is gearing up to start selling its cars in India soon, and one of them has now been spotted testing in India. The VF e34 electric SUV is expected to be one of the first models VinFast launches in India that could hit the market in the financial year 2025 (FY25). 

The VF e34 will be a compact SUV, measuring 4300 mm in length, 1786 mm in width and 1615 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2611 mm. It is powered by a 41.9 kWh battery pack which will give it a claimed range of up to 319 km on a single charge and VinFast claims the battery can be charged from 10-70 per cent in 27 minutes using a fast charger. With its single electric motor, the VF e34 produces 148 bhp and 242 Nm, giving it a 0-100 kmph time of under 9 seconds and a claimed top speed of 130 kmph. 

The test mule of the VF e34 looks fairly identical to the model sold in Vietnam with a full-width LED light bar at the back merging with the VinFast logo in the middle. At the front, the VF e34 e-SUV will have a very EV-like design language with no grille and a full-width LED lighting element and a split headlamp setup. 

Inside, the VF e34 will get an all-grey cabin with a vertical 10-inch infotainment touchscreen and three AC vents in front of the passenger. Other features in the e-SUV include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, keyless entry, keyless go, a 6-speaker audio system, auto headlamps, auto wipers and more. Safety features on the VF e-34 are likely to include 6 airbags, an ADAS suite, ISOFIX and TPMS, among others. 

While the prices of the VinFast EV aren’t out yet, it is expected to rival the MG ZS EV as well as the upcoming Tata Curvv.ev, Hyundai Creta EV, the Maruti Suzuki eVX and its Toyota counterpart based on its dimensions.
