Vinfast VF MPV 7 Launched: All You Need To Know

Vinfast has launched its latest electric vehicle offering in India — the VF MPV 7. Available in a fully-loaded single variant, this battery powered MPV is priced at ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The VF MPV 7 is the brand’s third EV model after VF6 and VF7 launched last year. Pre-bookings for the MPV 7 opened earlier this month, and customer deliveries are expected to start shortly.  

The model is being brought into India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit and is assembled locally at VinFast’s facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Every VinFast owner will have access to the company's free charging which has been extended to 31 March 2029. Here’s everything you need to know about the Vinfast VF MPV 7.

Vinfast VF MPV 7: Design & Dimensions

The India-spec VinFast MPV 7 carries over the same exterior design as the version sold in Vietnam. It retains the brand’s signature styling cues, including LED headlamps, a connected tail-lamp setup and distinctive 19-inch alloy wheels. Its upright stance adds to the road presence while also helping create more headroom and legroom inside the cabin. The VinFast MPV 7 is 4,740 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. It measures 1,872 mm in width and stands 1,734 mm tall.

Vinfast is offering the VF MPV 7 in six exterior colour options namely Jet Black, Infinity Blanc, Moonlit Ocean, Zenith Grey, Solar Ruby, and Introspective Brown.

Vinfast VF MPV 7: Interiors

The VF MPV 7 features a conventional 7-seat layout (2+3+2), with a bench-style middle row, as is typical in this segment. Inside, buyers can choose between two cabin themes: an all-black finish offered across the range, or a dual-tone black and brown combination available with most exterior shades, excluding red and brown. The interior leans toward a premium feel, helped by leatherette upholstery and a clean, uncluttered dashboard.

Boot capacity stands at 126 litres with all three rows in place, and can be expanded up to 1,240 litres when the rear seats are folded. At the centre of the dashboard is a floating touchscreen infotainment system that serves as the primary control interface, with minimal reliance on physical buttons. 

The three-spoke steering wheel is adjustable for both tilt and reach, and integrates controls for audio, calls and infotainment functions. The floating centre console adds to practicality, offering multiple storage areas, including cupholders and an armrest. There’s also additional storage space beneath the console, along with charging ports.

Vinfast VF MPV 7: Features

The VinFast VF MPV 7 comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a 4-speaker audio setup, automatic climate control with rear vents, electrically adjustable and auto-folding ORVMs, manually adjustable front seats, and cruise control.

On the safety front, it gets ABS with EBD, disc brakes on all wheels, electronic stability control (ESC), an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Additional equipment includes a rear parking camera with sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and four airbags.

Vinfast VF MPV 7: Battery & Motor Specs

The VinFast VF MPV 7 is powered by a 60.13 kWh battery pack paired with a single PMS electric motor that produces 201 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. It is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 9 seconds.

The MPV offers Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes, along with adjustable regenerative braking and over-the-air (OTA) update capability. VinFast claims an ARAI-certified range of 517 km on a full charge. It also supports DC fast charging, with the battery able to go from 10 to 70 percent in around 30 minutes.
