The official launch event for the Vivo X200 series is slated for October 14 in China.

Handset maker Vivo's Vice President Jia Jingdong has officially revealed key details of the upcoming Vivo X200 series, comprising the X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro Mini models.

The official launch event for the Vivo X200 series is slated for October 14 in China. Global and India availability is likely to follow soon, but there is no official confirmation from the company yet.

Vivo X200 Pro Mini Expected Specs

The X200 Pro Mini will introduce a micro-quadruple design with a compact straight screen, featuring narrow borders and gentle corners for easy handling. Display quality across the series is enhanced by the Zeiss Master Color Screen and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, delivering visual performance comparable to iPhone's retina display.

Photography capabilities will see significant upgrades, with the X200 Pro series set to include a new 135mm option, complementing the existing 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm ranges. A new "telephoto macro" feature aims to streamline lens transitions.

Video capabilities include 4K 120fps slow motion, full-focus 10bit log, and 4K backlit movie portrait functionality. The company claims superior exposure control technology, maintaining subject clarity in challenging lighting conditions while creating artistic backlit portraits.

The entire lineup features the V3+ chip. The X200 Pro boasts a 200MP f/2.67 85mm periscope camera, while both models use a Vivo x Sony LYT-818 1/1.28-inch main camera with f/2.57 aperture.

The Mini variant includes a 70mm periscope camera. Jia has shared sample images, including Mount Everest shots at 1x and 20x zoom, telemacro photographs, and ultra-wide captures from the Pro mini.

MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 SoC will power the X200 Pro series. Vivo emphasises its involvement in the chip's development process, from definition through design and R&D optimisation, ensuring optimal performance through integrated hardware and software design.

The devices will run on proprietary OriginOS 5, featuring an LLM with 3 billion parameters for on-device AI processing, prioritising user privacy. The operating system will debut at VDC on October 10.

Battery will include 5 per cent silicon content, achieving "record energy density" while maintaining a slimmer profile than previous generations. The devices incorporate semi-solid low-temperature battery technology, ensuring reliable performance at temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius.
