CRX stands for Comfortable Riding Xperience, and it will compete in the family scooter segment.

Delhi-based Warivo Motors has launched its third electric scooter and its first high-speed offering, CRX. Priced at ₹79,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Warivo CRX gets a sleek, and practical body design and there are five colour options for customers to choose from – Winter White, Oxford Blue, Poppy Red, Luxe Grey, and Raven Black.

Powering the new Warivo CRX is a 2.3 kWh battery pack that is paired with a 1500W BLDC motor that produces 85 Nm of torque at the wheel. The brand claims that the scooter can do 55 kmph of top speed, and on a single charge, it is good for 90 km of range. From a practical point of view, Warivo Motors claims that it has the largest seat in the segment and yet at 830 mm, it is 70 mm shorter than the Ather Rizta’s seat length which measures 900 mm. However, at 42-litres, the Warivo CRX features one of the biggest under-seat storage spaces for any electric scooter on sale.

On the features front, the Warivo CRX is not loaded to the gills as such. It features a simple digital reverse-display instrument cluster with no Bluetooth connectivity whatsoever, even though the provisions are in place for the tech. It does get a full-LED lighting system, with a projector LED headlamp and the rear tail light features a neat insert of the “Warivo” logo. Additionally, the high-speed electric scooter does get a smart key with lock/ unlock and geo-fence protection functionalities.

The underpinnings of the scooter have been kept relatively simple with a telescopic fork and twin-shock absorber at the rear. While braking duties are taken care of drum brakes at both ends.

Despite drawing parallels with the likes of Ather Rizta and Ola S1 Pro, Warivo is not aiming to compete with these big competitors. However, the brand will launch a new variant of the CRX in the future, the timeline of which is yet to be announced, and it will feature a bigger battery pack and more features too.
