The Binguo and Binguo Plus will be new models for India but the Almaz is already sold as the Hector.
It seems like JSW MG Motor India is planning to bring more Wuling cars in India, after the Comet and Windsor. Very recently, three Wuling models – Binguo, Binguo Plus and Almaz – were spotted in Mumbai.
The Binguo and Binguo Plus will be brand new models for MG in India, but like is the case with the Comet and Windsor, these two cars’ names will definitely be changed if they launch in India. For perspective, the Comet is sold as the Wuling Air in Indonesia, while the Windsor is sold as the Wuling Cloud in India.
These two models might share the name, but are quite different in terms of design and powertrain options. The Binguo EV comes with a 31.9 kWh battery, while the Binguo Plus comes with a 50.6 kWh battery pack. While the smaller EV has a claimed range of around 330 km, the Binguo Plus has a claimed range of around 500 km.
Both models have a very cutesy design language, with more curves than straight lines. Since both are EVs, they don’t come with a conventional grille, but rather thick, closed-off front bumpers.
It’s worth noting that the Almaz is already on sale in India as the MG Hector. But it’s interesting to see the Wuling version being used in India along with other Wuling models in India. It remains to be seen when MG will launch these two models in India since its next planned launch is the MG Majestor, which was showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo.
