Xiaomi 14 Launching in India on March 7

Xiaomi India has announced that it will launch the Xiaomi 14 smartphone in India on March 7. This comes after the company had teased the arrival of the flagship device through posters on social media platforms.

The Xiaomi 14 is the latest entrant to the company's 14 series, which debuted in China in October 2023. The lineup includes three models - the vanilla Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro and the upcoming 14 Ultra. While the 14 and 14 Pro were launched in China, the 14 Ultra is scheduled to be unveiled on February 22.

Xiaomi India's announcement specifically mentioned only the Xiaomi 14, indicating that it may be the only model launched in the country initially. The 14 Pro and 14 Ultra will likely skip the Indian market, continuing Xiaomi's trend of not bringing its highest-end phones to India.

Specifications of the Xiaomi 14 are expected to be similar to the Chinese variant. It may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and sport a 6.36-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The triple rear camera setup, co-engineered with Leica, includes a 50MP main, 50MP ultra-wide and 3.2x telephoto lenses. It will also likely pack a 4610mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

Pricing and full specifications of the Xiaomi 14 will be unveiled on March 7 during its India launch event. Its arrival comes just over a week after the global launch of the 14 series at MWC on February 25.
