It is likely a reference to the company's Civi series of smartphones, which have not been introduced in India yet. Notably, the Civi 4 Pro, the latest model in the lineup, was released in China in March 2024.
Xiaomi's teaser pokes fun at Apple's recent 'Crush' advertisement for the new iPads by showing a hydraulic press crushing various objects. However, instead of revealing a new product, the press breaks down, with the 'Cinematic Vision' text appearing.
Given that the first two letters of both words are highlighted in red, it is speculated that this hints at the debut of a Civi series phone.
Recently, Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer of Xiaomi India, confirmed to Gadgets 360 that the brand plans to launch a smartphone in the Rs 50,000 price range in India. This suggests the device could be the Civi 4 Pro, which was rumoured to debut in India as the Xiaomi 14 SE.
The Civi 4 Pro features flagship-grade specs, such as a 6.55-inch OLED screen, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, Leica-branded triple cameras, and a 4,700mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
The exact launch details are still under wraps, but we should know more in the coming weeks.
