Testing reveals that the Xiaomi YU7 Max exceeds its advertised 690 bhp.
The recently launched Xiaomi YU7 Max has demonstrated impressive performance, exceeding the manufacturer’s stated horsepower figure, according to testing conducted by Chinese media outlet Auto Sohu.
While Xiaomi claimed a combined maximum horsepower of 690 bhp for the YU7 Max, testing revealed a figure of 698.1 bhp when Boost mode is engaged: a 101.2 per cent efficiency rate at the wheels.
This places the YU7 Max among the top four vehicles tested by Sohu to deliver more power than officially advertised. Without Boost mode, the vehicle still achieved a 97 per cent power efficiency rate.
The YU7 Max recorded a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.32 seconds, and completed the quarter-mile in 11.11 seconds. In comparisons with other EVs, the YU7 Max showcased advantages above 80 km/h compared to the SU7 Max, despite carrying an additional 200 kg of weight.
When pitted against the Zeekr 007 GT, both vehicles exhibited similar power curves, with the Zeekr benefitting from a slight weight advantage.
The Xiaomi YU7 is a new premium electric SUV offering a standard range of 700 km. Higher-spec Pro and Max models boast enhanced features and extend the range up to 800 km (CLTC).
Featuring a versatile 400V/800V hybrid charging architecture, the YU7 supports ultra-fast charging capabilities, adding up to 510 km of range in just 15 minutes.
Inside, a large 16.1-inch touchscreen powered by Qualcomm and Nvidia chips delivers a sophisticated infotainment experience and advanced driver assistance systems.
The YU7 integrates artificial intelligence to enhance driver assistance, infotainment, and connectivity, forming the core of Xiaomi’s “Human-Car-Home” ecosystem. This seamless integration connects the vehicle with user devices and smart home systems, creating a unified and intuitive user experience.
