In terms of specifications, it is even inferior to the Redmi Note 11 series as it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12 series in January, with the flagship Redmi Note 12 Pro+ boasting a beastly 200-megapixel camera system. However, all these models are 5G models. India's second-largest smartphone player will now launch a more affordable model of the same series, tuned for 4G connectivity. This phone will debut on March 30 in India.

In terms of specifications, it is even inferior to the Redmi Note 11 series as it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor. This phone is slated to boast a Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole selfie camera. Overall, there will be a triple camera system with a 50-megapixel camera system being the hero.

It will also have a 5,000mAh battery and will support 33W fast charging. This phone will also have a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR blaster, a unique feature largely offered by Xiaomi's phones which allows one to control household gadgets with IR technology.

Xiaomi is trying to curtail the impact of inflation as the Redmi Note line of phones often started at less than Rs 15,000 and maxed out at Rs 20,000. This time around, the Redmi Note line is crossing the Rs 25,000 price point. The 4G-only model will help reduce the price of this series, which will help it compete against more affordable offerings by Samsung, iQOO, and Vivo.
