The Amalfi Spider is a high-performance yet versatile and stylish sportscar.
Ferrari has launched its “two soul” performance lifestyle convertible, the Amalfi Spider, in India priced at ₹4.6 crore (ex-showroom, India). The Amalfi Spider is inspired by its namesake city on the southern coast of Italy, known for its vibrant atmosphere. It is aimed at buyers who want a high-performance yet versatile sportscar with no compromise to style.
The Amalfi Spider will be available through Navnit Motors, Ferrari’s official importer in India, and bookings are now open. Following a showcase in Mumbai on Friday for fans and prospective buyers, similar events will be held in Bengaluru and New Delhi over the next two weeks. Interestingly, Ferrari says it is expecting a price revision once the India-EU Free Trade Agreement takes effect.

Designed to be elegant and easy to drive, the Amalfi Spider is pitched as a versatile, comfortable, everyday sportscar. The soft-top convertible preserves the proportions and silhouette of the Ferrari Amalfi with a fluid, almost minimalist style. The sculpted bonnet and large air intake on the front, along with an integrated active spoiler on the rear give it a sporty look.
The soft-top roof opens in 13.5 seconds, even with the car moving at up to 60kmph. Boot space is 255 litres with the roof deployed, or 172 litres with it stowed. Five layers of acoustic and thermal insulation deliver an experience comparable to hard-top convertibles. Buyers get a choice of four colours in tailor-made fabric and two more in technical fabric for the soft top, with matching fabric over the tonneau, door panels, and the backs of the front seats.
Aerodynamic performance is comparable to that of the Ferrari Amalfi, with no compromise to body geometry or occupant comfort when the roof is retracted. A wind deflector on the back of the rear seats can be activated at the touch of a button, to reduce turbulence and sound
A new signature red colour, Rosso Tramonto, has subtle orange undertones inspired by the Amalfi coast at dusk.
The car measures 4,660mm long with a 1,305mm wheelbase, and is 1,974mm wide and 1,305mm tall.

The cabin has a dual-chamber design, cocooning the driver and front passenger with an anodised aluminium bridge housing primary controls, suspended over the centre tunnel between them. The rear seats are only suitable for children or extra stowage. The driver’s cockpit is deliberately minimalist, though this model sees the return of a physical anodised aluminium start button on the steering wheel.
There’s a 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a central 10.5-inch touchscreen for accessing car functions such as entertainment and seat controls, and a dedicated 8.8-inch passenger display showing live performance parameters. A wireless phone charger is integrated into the central tunnel, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both supported. The MyFerrari Connect app allows remote car monitoring.

The Amalfi Spider has been fitted with Ferrari’s F154 3,855 cc V8 twin-turbo, which can put out a maximum of 640 hp at 7,500 rpm, thanks to independent control of the rotational speed of the two turbochargers, a maximum turbo speed of 171,000 rpm, and dedicated pressure sensors for each cylinder bank. It also features an eight-speed dual-clutch oil-bath CVT.
A new silencer layout was developed to meet strict noise emission regulations, without any compromise to Ferrari’s signature engine sound. The Amalfi Spider rides on 20-inch wheels with 245/35 R20 tyres at the front and 285/35 R20 ones at the rear.
Ferrari has introduced its new brake-by-wire technology, which it says can significantly improve braking efficiency, reduce pedal travel, and improve modulation, even with ABS engaged. A new grip estimation system based on the electric power steering is said to be 10 percent faster and more accurate, even on surfaces with very low traction. The Manettino control offers five positions, Wet, Comfort, Sport, Race, and ESC-Off, letting the driver choose their preferred level of technology intervention, including the F1-Trac, suspension damping, and e-diff.
Standard ADAS features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, automatic high beam, traffic sign recognition and assistance, and driver drowsiness and distraction detection. Surround View and Rear Cross Traffic Alert can be added on request. The Amalfi Spider has front and rear radar as well as cameras.
