Yamaha XSR 155 is seen as an alternative to Royal Enfield Hunter 350 (₹ 1.38–1.67 lakh, ex-showroom).
After getting launched in November 2025, Yamaha has introduced a new colour option for the XSR 155 in India. The new Metallic Black shade is priced at ₹1,58,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this addition, the neo-retro roadster is now available in five colour options — Metallic Blue, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic, and Metallic Grey being the other four shades.
Speaking on this development, Hajime Aota, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said, “The introduction of the Metallic Black XSR 155 is not just about a new colour — it is about deepening our connection with riders who seek individuality, performance, and styling in one compelling package. We remain committed to delivering products that inspire pride of ownership and pure riding excitement.”
There are no design changes with this new colour scheme, although the Metallic Black shade is only the second option to get golden-coloured upside-down fork after the Metallic Blue variant. The new colourway gently accentuates the XSR 155’s signature design cues, from its sculpted fuel tank and pared-back bodywork to the unmistakable retro-inspired styling.

Yamaha has launched the XSR 155 at a starting price of ₹ 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which continues to remain valid for the signature Yamaha Blue colour scheme. The rest of the colour options have witnessed a price hike. The bright red finish sees the smallest price hike of ₹3000, bringing its price to ₹1.53 lakh. The understated silver follows at ₹1.57 lakh with a bump of ₹7000, while the triple-tone green/bronze and white scheme commands the steepest increase of ₹9000, now pegged at ₹1.59 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

The XSR 155 draws power from a 155 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), producing 18.3 hp and 14.2 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch for smoother downshifts. Underpinned by Yamaha’s proven Deltabox frame, the bike rides on 17-inch wheels and features an aluminium swingarm, upside-down front forks, and a rear monoshock. Dual-channel ABS and traction control come as standard safety features.
