The Battery-as-a-Service provider company achieved this milestone in just 18 months of operation.
In a significant development for India's evolving electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, Yuma Energy has announced reaching 1 million monthly battery swaps. This milestone comes just 18 months after the company began operations, highlighting its rapid battery-as-a-service (BaaS) sector growth.
Moreover, this impressive figure was achieved after Yuma recently expanded its services to Hyderabad, bringing its presence to 10 cities across India. Consequently, Yuma Energy operates in six metros, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, as well as four non-metro cities such as Indore and Kochi. Thereby, with over 175 battery swapping stations, Yuma Energy claims it serves more than 100,000 two-wheeler EV riders nationwide.
Yuma has also forged strategic partnerships with various public and private entities, including the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and Indian Railways, to expand its network further. Looking ahead, Yuma Energy aims to operate 300 stations nationwide by the end of the year. The company also plans to expand its services beyond two-wheelers, increase its network size, and develop new technologies to meet growing demand in the EV sector.
