The Uttar Pradesh RTO (UP RTO) was formerly known as UP Government Roadways. Its history dates back to 1947. On June 1st, 1972, it changed its name to Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) under the provisions of the Road Transport Act of 1950. The UP RTO’s role is to offer passengers services and vehicle owners the required documents and other vehicle-related services.
The primary responsibilities of RTOs in Uttar Pradesh are the same as those of RTOs in other states. This department handles all of the critical facets of transport. Services Offered in Uttar Pradesh RTO Office
The UP RTO provides the following services:
License Issuance: UP RTO deals with every type of license issuance. They conduct online learner’s license tests and issue Learner's licenses. They also conduct driving tests and issue driving licenses. UP RTO is also responsible for the issuance of a conductor’s license.

Vehicle Registration in Uttar Pradesh RTO
When purchasing a vehicle in Uttar Pradesh, you must register it with the appropriate RTO. Registering your vehicle with the RTO in UP gives it a unique identity and distinguishes it from others.
