Similarly, traffic violation fines or Telangana traffic e-challans can be paid online by visiting the Hyderabad Traffic Police website. The stringent traffic rules and regulations make sure that everyone on the road, abides by the rules stated under The Motor Vehicles Act.

Hyderabad Traffic Rules and Regulations:

Hyderabad is a city with good road infrastructure, and the good roads bring its own set of challenges for the city Traffic Police. The cases of over speeding have increased over the years with the improved roads. But with strict rules and regulations and remote monitoring of traffic, the Telangana Traffic Police do not allow anyone to get away after violating the traffic rules Below are some important traffic rules and regulations in Hyderabad to avoid getting a ts e challan:

  • Helmets are compulsory: Two-wheeler riders and pillions should always wear helmets when riding a motorcycle/scooter/scooty. Two-wheeler accidents can be fatal to the rider and pillion, and helmets protect the riders from fatal head injuries.

  • No mobile phones while driving/riding: One of the most common reasons for accidents in India are the usage of mobile phones while driving. Speaking or texting on the phone while driving can be dangerous as it leads to a lapse in concentration.

  • Carry vehicle documents: Always carry the valid vehicle documents at all times, be it while driving within the city or while going on long drives. The documents will save you from a lot of hassle if your vehicle is stopped for a regular inspection. If you fail to produce the documents, you may get an e-challan from Hyderabad Traffic Police.

  • Do not overload the vehicle: It doesn’t matter if you drive a two/three/four-wheeler, overloading is a serious offence. Never overload your vehicle, be it passengers or goods. If you are caught with an overloaded vehicle, you may have to pay hefty fines and the traffic police might even suspend your driving licence.

  • Use turn signals: Always use turn signals or turn indicators while making a lane change, taking a turn or making an u-turn. Whether it's a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler, using turn signals is a must. You must always indicate the traffic behind you about your manoeuvre. Sudden lane change to turn without indication can lead to fatal accidents.

  • No wrong-side overtaking: Overtaking a car from the wrong side can be dangerous, especially for two-wheelers. Do not overtake a four-wheeler from the left side, if you are riding a two-wheeler. Give proper indications to the driver before attempting an overtake.
