The dashboard of the Mahindra Scorpio features a new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The instrument cluster is also updated with a new multi-information display, providing the driver with all the necessary information at a glance.
The cabin is designed to be spacious, offering ample legroom and headroom for both front and rear passengers. The seats are comfortable and supportive, with high-quality upholstery and cushioning. However, the third-row seat is best suited for children as adults may find it cramped.
The interior of the Mahindra Scorpio is also practical, with plenty of storage space for passengers' belongings. The SUV features bottle holders, cup holders, and storage compartments on the dashboard and doors. The third row of seats can be folded flat to create additional luggage space when needed. Overall, the Mahindra Scorpio's interior design is well-suited for both daily commutes and long journeys, offering comfort, convenience, and practicality.
The Scorpio N also gets a host of creature comfort features such as a sunroof, connected car features, engine start/stop button, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, leather seat upholstery, etc. Note that some of these features may be limited to top-spec variants.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N gets powerful yet efficient petrol and diesel engines. The 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol motor has a displacement of 1997cc and a maximum power output of 200 hp delivered at 5000 rpm. The peak torque is an impressive 370Nm produced at 1750 rpm for strong acceleration.

The top-spec variants get additional features like six airbags, front parking sensors, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), etc.
The 2023 Mahindra Scorpio-N enters the midsize SUV space to take on heavyweight rivals, boasting pedigree and history in this segment. Its most direct competitor is the MG Hector Plus, which offers similar dimensions and seating capacity in a modern package heavily loaded with technology. The popular Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Skoda Kushaq overlap significantly as fresh competitors that blend style, features and value.
Slightly larger 7-seater SUVs like the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700 provide an upgrade alternative with a mild premium over the Scorpio-N's pricing. Buyers considering lower variants of premium SUVs like the Jeep Meridian or Toyota Fortuner could find the Scorpio-N's higher trims more value-focused. With its balanced mix of old-school SUV appeal and next-gen sophistication, the Scorpio-N arrives to conquer and expand this crucial midsize SUV segment.
