The Indian smartphone market has witnessed steady growth in the past six months. In June, India saw over 15 new smartphone launches, and as we enter the second half of 2024, smartphone makers are increasingly vying for a piece of the market share. Here's a list of the major phone launches in July 2024, including expected specifications, pricing, and more details.
Motorola is back with the new Razr foldable phones—the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra. Both phones are confirmed to launch in India on July 4 and feature a 6.9-inch internal foldable screen. The Razr 50 Ultra features a 4-inch cover screen, the largest on a flip phone yet, and is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. Meanwhile, the Razr 50 has a 3.6-inch cover screen, a massive upgrade over the 1.5-inch screen we saw on the Razr 40.

CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing, will launch its first smartphone on July 8 in India. While there is limited information about the phone, it will likely debut as the CMF Phone (1) in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment. As per some leaked reports, the CMF Phone 1 could have features like an AMOLED screen and dual 50-megapixel cameras, and it is powered by the Dimensity 7200 SoC. What's so special about CMF's first phone is that it is teased to have a user-replaceable back cover, just like the good old days of Nokia and Sony phones.
The Redmi 13 5G is confirmed to launch on July 9 in India. It is the successor to the Redmi 12 5G, one of the highest-selling budget phones of 2023. Some of the confirmed features include an AMOLED screen, 108-megapixel camera, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Accelerated chip, 5,030 mAh battery, and 33W fast charging.
Samsung is hosting its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 in Paris, where it is all but confirmed to unveil the new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 foldable smartphones. As per leaks, the Fold 6 is thinner and lighter than the Fold 5, likely due to the use of a titanium frame. At the same time, the display is a bit wider than the last generation, and both Fold6 and Flip6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Flip6 is expected to have the same display as the Flip5 and an upgraded camera combination that mimics those of the S24 and S24 Plus.
The iQOO Z9 Lite is confirmed to launch on July 15 in India. It is likely based on the Vivo T3 Lite, which launched last week in India and starts at Rs 10,499. The design of the iQOO Z9 Lite has been teased ahead of the official launch, and it looks similar to the T3 Lite. In addition, iQOO has confirmed that the Z9 Lite is powered by the Dimensity 6300 SoC, which is the same one that powers the T3 Lite.
