Acko Drive Awards: Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Wins Compact SUV Title

The Compact SUV segment in the country has been growing massively and last year was no different. There were a lot of cars introduced in this segment. Right from the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder to the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the already crowded segment, saw some new entrants. Maruti Suzuki has certainly turned up the heat in this segment with the Grand Vitara and the fact that it is available in both petrol as well as the hybrid powertrain as also an all-wheel drive variant.

The Grand Vitara also is the most fuel efficient SUV currently in the Indian market, offering 28 kmpl which is massive given the growing prices of fuel in the country. Overall the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara certainly impressed the jurors when they drove it at the Buddh international circuit and which is why they voted for it to be the Compact SUV of the year.
