The Honda SC e electric scooter concept gives us a glimpse of Honda’s future EV journey.
Honda has big plans for the 2023 Japan Mobility Show (formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show). One of the interesting concepts that it will display at its stall is the Honda SC e Concept electric scooter. The new Honda electric scooter will showcase the direction taken by the Japanese two-wheeler giant in its future EV journey. From the looks of it, the Honda SC e electric scooter does look impressive. It has a sporty and subtle look that bonds well with the Honda DNA and the concept scooter features all-LED lighting.
Details regarding the scooter are scarce but we expect it to feature two removable batteries. Unlike most premium electric scooters on sale in India, Honda feels that removable batteries make better sense. In fact, the Japanese giant has already started testing its Mobile Power Pack (MPP) batteries in the Indian market. While the Honda SC e electric scooter concept doesn’t have any direct impact on our two-wheeler space, what is interesting is that it could form the base for the upcoming Honda electric scooter.
The Honda Activa electric scooter will make its India debut in 2024 and will be the first electric offering from the Japanese two-wheeler giant. This also hints that the Honda Activa electric scooter could feature removable batteries and Honda will have to set up a battery swapping network as well. Acko Drive will be present at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show and we will bring you more details about the Honda electric scooter and its future plans directly from the auto show.
