2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Launched In India

Kia India has launched the new Kia Seltos in the country at a starting price of Rs. 10.89 lakh which goes up to Rs. 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Available in both petrol and diesel powertrains, Kia has also introduced a new turbo-petrol to the mix. The new Seltos is equipped with manual, iMT, DCT, and automatic transmissions, along with cosmetic tweaks to the exterior and interior. Moreover, the new Seltos also features Level-2 ADAS functions along with enhanced safety features. The new Seltos rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, and MG Astor in the country.

2023 Kia Seltos Exterior

The new Kia Seltos receives multiple changes to its exterior featuring a new face that includes a redesigned grille, and a revamped ‘Star Map’ LED DRLs along with a new bumper design both at the front and rear. Moreover, the new Seltos also receives a different set of alloy wheels to help differentiate between the GT Line and the X-Line. At the back, the new Seltos gets connected tail lamps and dual sports exhausts, however, that is again for the higher GT-Line and X-Line variants.

2023 Kia Seltos: Interior

Inside, the 2023 Kia Seltos receives a completely redesigned cabin with new colour themes to make the car appear more premium than before. A larger display sourced from the Kia EV6 features better graphics along with a clear view to read information. Moreover, the 2023 Seltos also receives features such as a Heads Up Display, ventilated seats with an 8-way power driver’s seat, Bose premium sound system with 8 speakers, an air purifier with virus and bacteria protection and a 360-degree camera with blind view monitor in the cluster.

2023 Kia Seltos: Engine & Transmission

Power in the 2023 Kia Seltos comes from three choices of powertrains- a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L NA diesel, and a new 1.5L turbo petrol replacing the earlier 1.4L turbo petrol. We’ve seen this new unit on the recently launched Hyundai Verna as well, and have extensively tested it in our first-drive review of the 2023 Kia Seltos that goes live on July 23, 2023. Kia is also offering a range of gearbox options on the new Seltos including manuals, iMT, iVT, and DCT as well as automatic units.

2023 Kia Seltos: Safety Features

In terms of safety features, the 2023 Kia Seltos comes equipped with Level-2 ADAS, a first for Kia in India, and second in the compact SUV segment after the MG Astor. Moreover, Kia is also offering 6-airbags, ESC, VSM, and a few other features as part of the standard equipment list.
