The updated M4 Competition is priced at ₹1.53 crore and comes with a slight upgrade in power.
BMW India has updated the M4 Competition M xDrive in India and is priced at ₹1.53 crore (ex-showroom, India). The sports car will be brought to India as a completely built unit (CBU). With the update, the price of the M4 Competition has increased by ₹5.50 lakh and the power has also increased.
Under the hood, the M4 Competition M xDrive continues with a 3.0-litre, inline-six, turbocharged petrol engine producing 523 bhp, an increase of 20 bhp over the previous model. The torque figure remains unchanged at 650 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. BMW claims the M4 Competition can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 3.5 seconds.
Cosmetically, not much has changed apart from the M4 Competition getting new headlamps and taillamps. BMW has given the sports car adaptive LED headlights as well as M4 CSL-inspired taillamps.
Inside, the M4 Competition gets a new 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen running on the BMW iDrive 8.5 operating system. It retains the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster but gets redesigned ambient lighting. The M4 Competition now gets a flat-bottom steering wheel with a marking at the top.
The M4 Competition M xDrive only has one direct rival, the Audi RS 5 (₹1.12 crore). However, for this price, you can also consider alternatives like the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4Matic+ Cabriolet (₹1.30 crore) and the standard Porsche 718 Cayman (₹1.47 crore). All prices ex-showroom, India.
