Aesthetic changes made to the Honda NX400 are on the same line as the Honda NX500.
Honda has launched the 2024 iteration of the NX400 to the Japanese market. The crossover ADV was launched alongside the CBR400RR. Although both are based on the same platform and share the same mechanicals, we’ll stick to the changes made to the ADV in this article.
What was earlier known as the Honda CB400X, Honda has changed it to NX400 now. This change in nomenclature trickles down from its bigger middleweight sibling, the NX500. The latter was also called the CB500X before.

Just like the Honda NX500, the Honda NX400 also boasts of the same redesigned exterior body. The front now looks cleaner and more focused than before. Gone is its rugged stance, the new 2024 Honda NX400 now looks cleaner with the overall design of the bike toned down quite a bit. Some of the notable changes include a new headlamp cowl, fairing design, and tail light. Colour options available with the Honda NX400 include either Pearl Gray White or Matter Ballistic Black Metallic.
The Honda NX400 is powered by the same 399 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin cylinder from before nestled inside the same diamond frame chassis. This mill produces 45.37 bhp and 38 Nm and power is sent to the rear wheel via the 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch assist.

The Honda NX400 also debuts several new features. For starters, it now comes equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (Honda’s lingo for traction control). In addition to that, ADV also features a new 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity via Honda RoadSync that further allows accept/reject calls, messages, music playback, and turn-by-turn navigation on the display.
The Honda NX400 has been launched at 891,000 yen (which is approximately around ₹4.93 lakh in India). Considering it is a Japan-only model and India getting the NX500 already, this motorcycle isn’t going to come to India at all. You should take a look at the NX500 if you are interested in such a bike or with newer options like the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Triumph Scrambler 400 X.
