The baby Ninja gets new colour options while pricing remains unchanged.
Kawasaki India has introduced the 2024 iteration of the Ninja 300. As common with most Kawasaki updates, the Ninja 300 receives new colours to give it a fresh appeal. The 2024 Ninja 300 will be offered in Candy Lime Green and Metallic Moondust Gray, both these shades were already available but now get revised graphics to make the new bike stand out. Apart from the new colours and graphics, there has been no other update made on the baby Ninja.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is the second offering from the Japanese brand to be manufactured in India apart from the Kawasaki W175. The Ninja 300 made its India debut over a decade back and since then it has remained unchanged. To make the pricing more tempting, Kawasaki localised a lot of components of the motorcycle thereby reducing the pricing significantly. The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 300 retails for ₹ 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom), making it among the most affordable twin-cylinder motorcycles on sale in India.
Powering the Ninja 300 is a 296 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine rated at 38.9 bhp and 26.1 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the Ninja 300 was among the first bikes in its segment to offer slipper clutch. It features a diamond-type frame which is suspended on a telescopic fork and monoshock. The instrument cluster is a semi-digital unit with basic information. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 still packs a punchy power plant, but in general, the bike has started to show its age and it needs a complete modern overhaul to be relevant. Especially given the fact that it competes against rivals such as the KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RR 310, Yamaha R3 and the Aprilia RS457.
