BMW’s big burly maxi-scooter has received a minor revamp for 2025 as the Bavarian giant has launched the updated C 400 GT in India at ₹11.50 lakh (ex-showroom India). The updates have increased the asking price by ₹25,000, which is not quite a lot. However, it still remains one of the most expensive scooters in the country, with its electric sibling – the CE 04 – being the only other scooter in India to cost more.
For 2025, BMW has modified the formula just a smidge. The 350 cc liquid-cooled single is still pushing out 33.53 bhp and 35 Nm as before. It does meet the latest Euro 5+ emission norms and the necessary Indian regulations as well pertaining to CBU products. The engine is now complemented with a whole host of rider aids, such as BMW Motorrad Pro ABS, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), which are now standard.
In India, BMW is going to offer the C 400 GT with the larger 10.25-inch colour TFT screen as standard. The screen comes enabled with smartphone connectivity that unlocks the usual smattering of wireless connected tech like turn-by-turn navigation and call/music controls. There’s a dedicated cubby hole to charge your mobile phone and the USB ports on the scooter have been switched over to Type-C ports.
Finally, the redesigning of the seat and body work has resulted in a lower seat height of 765 mm as well as larger boot space of 37.6 litres. The space is not dramatically large, we have seen several e-scooters in the country to offer similar levels of convenience. However, with the C 400 GT, you will not have to carry a portable charger that will eat up half of the storage space in the first place.
As far as exclusivity goes, having an ₹11 lakh-scooter is as unique as it gets in your garage. And perhaps, that is the sole reason you would go for something like the C 400 GT.
