The OBD-2B emission update has also made the popular bike in the country slightly more expensive.
The Hero Super Splendor Xtec has been revised to comply with the stricter OBD-2B emission norms. In this process, the bike has also become slightly more expensive by ₹2,000, wherein the drum brake variant is priced at ₹88,128, while the disc brake variant will set you back by ₹90,028 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new Hero Super Splendor Xtec continues to be powered by the same air-cooled, single-cylinder 124.7 cc engine. While complying with the latest emission, performance has altered slightly and the mill now produces 10.8 bhp and 10.6 Nm. This engine remains paired with a 4-speed gearbox.
The Super Splendor Xtec has always been a feature-enhanced version of the standard Super Splendor, offering additional amenities including an LED headlight and a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. So there are no changes on this front. Even the colour options have remained the same which includes four shades – Matt Nexus Blue, Matt Grey, Black, and Candy Blazing Red.

Since the updates are not very extensive in nature, the new Hero Super Splendor Xtec’s position among its competition remains unchanged. Its competitors include the Honda SP125 and the TVS Raider 125.
