Kawasaki claims that the touring prowess of the Ninja 1100 SX has vastly improved with the latest upgrade.
Kawasaki has launched the updated 2025 Ninja 1100 SX in global markets. The updated sport-tourer gains a reworked version of the older engine that aims to enhance its touring capabilities much better than before.
So, the Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX now gets the new 1,099 cc, inline-4, liquid-cooled engine that is also now found on the Versys 1100. This mill churns out 136 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm at 7,600 rpm. In the Ninja 1100 SX, Kawasaki engineers claim that they have focused on improving the torque curve for better real-world rideability. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox wherein the fifth and sixth gears are taller than before, which has been done to ensure relaxed highway cruising in these high gears.
The Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX is available in global markets in two variants: Standard and SE. The former comes equipped with LED lighting, a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, multiple power modes, and essential safety features, including traction control and ABS. A USB-C charging port and cruise control further enhance its touring credentials.
The SE variant further elevates the experience with new bits like more advanced Brembo M4.32 monobloc brake callipers, premium Öhlins S36 adjustable rear shock, and new Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres and a larger rear disc brake complete the remaining premium hardware updates. To further distinguish the SE variant from the Standard, the former variant is also available with a distinctive gold and black graphics in addition to the signature Kawasaki green colour option.
Beyond these differences, both the Ninja 1100 SX variants benefit from an updated quickshifter that operates from just 1500 rpm, addressing urban riding needs. Similarly, the stylings have also remained the same as its predecessor.
Kawasaki is expected to launch the 2025 Ninja 1100 SX in India later this year. The Ninja 1000 was a pretty well received motorcycle and we expect the same to continue for the 1100 as well.
