The revised Triumph Speed Twin 900 gets new hardware components, improved safety, and better ergonomics.
Triumph India has brought the updated Speed Twin 900 to India at ₹8.89 lakh. Revisions made to the bike include standardising some features, a sleeker profile, and better hardware components all of which should help amplify the bike’s overall ride quotient.
Although mechanically it continues to be powered by the same 900 cc, parallel-twin engine dishing out 64.1 bhp and 80 Nm, it now complies with the latest emission norms. It gets a ride-by-wire system, which in turn brings forth two ride modes (Road and Rain), and the option to equip cruise control.
The safety department was an area that Triumph focused on improving with the new 2025 Speed Twin 900. Both ride modes integrate cornering ABS with lean-sensitive traction control as standard.
Further ensuring that the roadster is a better handler than before are new Marzocchi-sourced upside-down fork and an aluminium swingarm, paired with piggy-back suspension unit. While the Triumph Speed Twin 900 continues to ride on 18-/17-inch wheels, they are now shod with Michelin Road Classic tyres. Braking prowess has also improved with a larger 320 mm disc brake at the front with Triumph-branded four-pot radial caliper.
Comfort was another key aspect that Triumph wanted to improve and the marque managed to achieve that by revising the bench seat. It is now better contoured and its slimmer profile allows for improved cornering support and legroom support. The seat height might have increased from 765 mm to 780 mm, but that can be brought down to 760 mm via an accessorised lowered seat.
Complimenting this round of thorough changes are new colour options with revised graphics that make the Speed Twin 900 look like a proper heritage classic roadster. For starters, there are three new colour options called – Pure White with blue and orange stripes, Phantom Black with dark grey stripes and gold accents, and Aluminium Silver with red detailing around the Triumph logo. Additionally, the overall profile of the bike has also become leaner than before, which was achieved by updating engine casings, compact headlight and a shorter silencer.
