Audi has not yet announced a launch timeline for the Indian market yet.
Audi has unveiled the third-generation Audi Q7, continuing to focus on internal combustion powertrains even as the global auto industry shifts towards electrification. The model is built on the Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Combustion architecture and retains its positioning against rivals such as the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE. The new Q7 will be available with petrol and diesel V6 engine options depending on the market.
Order books for the 2026 Audi Q7 are set to open in Europe later this month, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence from September 2026. The 2026 Audi Q7 has been unveiled in three seating configurations: the standard model comes with a 5-seater configuration, but buyers can also opt for a 6- or 7-seater layouts.

Pricing begins at €87,900 (approximately ₹96.90 lakh) for the entry-level diesel variant, rising to €90,500 (around ₹99.76 lakh) for the higher-spec version.
Audi has not yet announced a launch timeline for the Indian market yet. However, the Q7 has historically been a key model for the brand in the country, suggesting a launch could be considered at a later stage.
The petrol variant is powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 429hp and 599Nm, enabling a claimed 0–100 kmph time of 4.8 seconds. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system as standard.
The diesel powertrain remains central to the model’s offering. The 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine is offered in two configurations, delivering 245hp and 500Nm in its standard form, and 299hp with 630Nm in the higher-output version. Both variants incorporate a mild-hybrid system that can provide an additional boost of up to 24hp and 370Nm, supporting efficiency and overtaking performance.
“For more than 20 years, the Audi Q7 has represented the perfect premium SUV. With its new generation, we carry this mission forward. It combines a sporty, powerful design with a highly versatile interior, first-class materials, and a wide range of technologies,” Gernot Döllner, Audi CEO, said in a statement.
“The flexible seating with up to seven seats, the large panoramic sunroof for a spacious feel, and high-quality, harmoniously coordinated materials underscore its premium status. Its confident performance, powered by a robust drivetrain featuring MHEV plus technology and quattro all-wheel drive, makes the new Q7 a versatile all-rounder for business, family, and leisure.”
Audi has also made the diesel engine compatible with hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), a renewable fuel that the company says can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 95 per cent compared with conventional diesel, reflecting efforts to sustain diesel’s relevance in a more emissions-conscious environment.
