Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 goes up against the likes of Triumph Speed 400, KTM 390 Duke, Harley-Davidson X440, and Hero Mavrick.
Royal Enfield has teased the updated Guerrilla 450 ahead of its launch tomorrow. First launched in 2024, this will be the first update for the naked roadster. Based on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the Guerrilla is expected to see some minor cosmetic, feature, and mechanical upgrades over the current model. Let us look at what to expect from the 2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.
While it is based on the more purpose-built Himalayan 450, the Guerrilla was pitched as a more “fun-to-ride” motorcycle. However, it came with its fair share of flaws which Royal Enfield will look to address in the upcoming update. For starters, the rear suspension unit feels very firm, especially on broken roads, and Enfield might get these changes to a slightly softer unit. This should improve its ride quality and overall handling. A similar update was provided to the Hunter 350 last year.

Besides the rear suspension, the grip from the stock dual-purpose tyres on the current Guerrilla 450 is also not up to the mark. Hence, we expect the Chennai-based bikemaker to provide a grippier, road-biased tyre this time. On the cosmetic side, we expect Enfield to add more colour options to the Guerrilla 450. Currently, the roadster is available in six shades including Brava Blue, Shadow Ash, Peix Bronze, Smoke Silver, Playa Black, and Gold Dip. Expect a fresh set of body graphics as well with the updated Guerrilla.
Mechanically, the Guerrilla 450 is expected to be powered by the same 452 cc, liquid-cooled Sherpa engine as the outgoing model. This unit produces 40 bhp and 40 Nm of peak torque while being paired with a six-speed gearbox. The naked roadster gets a ride-by-wire throttle and features two riding modes. A bi-direction quickshifter could be a welcome addition to the Guerrilla if Royal Enfield is a little generous.

Built on a twin spar frame, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 sits on a 43 mm upside-down front fork and a rear mono-shock. Braking is carried out by a single 310 mm ventilated disc with a dual piston calliper at the front and a 270 mm single disc at the rear with a single piston. These are aided by dual-channel ABS.
