The new KTM 350 cc series will witness a drop in performance but might gain a lot on the value front.
Triumph Motorcycles recently replaced its entire 400 cc bike portfolio with the new 350 cc engines and we also saw Bajaj introduce 2026 Dominar 400 with a 350 cc engine and this juggernaut isn’t stopping anytime soon. KTM is also gearing up to introduce the new 350 cc engine in its portfolio. According to our sources, the KTM 350 Duke, KTM 350 Adventure X and the KTM 350 Adventure S will be the new offerings from the Austrian brand.
The switch to a 350 cc engine has been done to offset the new GST ruling which taxes engine displacement above 350 cc for two-wheelers at 40%. By switching to 350 cc engines, KTM will be able to price its offerings more competitively. We recently saw KTM also hike the prices for the 390 Duke and the 390 Adventure X by around ₹40,000 and this was because up until now the brand was absorbing the hike in the GST tax. The KTM 390 Duke currently retails for ₹3.39 lakh whereas the 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure X will lighten your wallet by ₹3.97 lakh and ₹3.43 lakh respectively (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom).
The switch to a 350 cc engine will affect the performance of the bikes as we have seen on the Triumph Motorcycles, but then again it will also make the bikes more accessible to Indian bikers. The KTM 200 Duke retails for ₹2.17 lakh and we expect the new KTM 350 Duke to carry a sticker price of around ₹3 lakh whereas the KTM 390 Adventure X might be priced at ₹3.05-3.10 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom). Our sources have also confirmed that the KTM 390 Duke, KTM 390 Adventure R and the KTM 390 Enduro R will continue to be on sale in the Indian market. With a more competitive price tag, the Austrian brand will be banking on the new 350 cc range to further boost its domestic sales.
