The 2023 edition of Royal Enfield’s annual motorcycling festival, Motoverse (previously known as Rider Mania), turned out to be quite a thrilling experience. The retro bike maker surely knows how to put on a show and it didn’t disappoint us one bit. Here were the five key highlights from the festival:

New Himalayan Launch

As everyone waited with bated breath, Royal Enfield blew the socks off with the stunning pricing of the new Himalayan. Starting from quite an accessible Rs 2.69 lakh, the new Himi has managed to undercut the KTM 390 Adventure in all its trims and the BMW G 310 GS, as well as come in at Rs 6,000 more than the Triumph Scrambler 400 X. In fact, only the Hanle Black colour option is Rs 4,000 dearer than the 390 Adventure X. Head here to read our take on the Himalayan.

Shotgun Twin 650 Custom Showcased

Smack right next to the countless neat custom creations, Royal Enfield had a giant cube with a special motorcycle hidden inside a glass box. Full of theatrics, we were shown the Shotgun Twin 650 Custom, a bike that we had known was in the making for a while and the production version is set to arrive shortly. Read our story to know what was special about the custom and just how different it is to the Super Meteor 650 on which it is based.

Delectable Custom Motorcycles

Royal Enfield and customisation go hand in hand. At Motoverse 2023, we got a chance to check out a lot of neat creations. From bobbers, scramblers and hardcore adventurers to more authentically retro machines, we saw them all.

Racing Thrill

Motoverse usually brings a lot of diehard Bulleteer racing enthusiasts that want to go mud plugging. In fact, Royal Enfield held a media class with brand spanking new Himalayan 450s ripping the track and yours truly triumphed in the race. Not only that, there was the famed Royal Enfield Slide School organised by Autologue Ranch, Trail School by Big Rock Dirtpark and a Hunter obstacle course that visitors could attend and improve their riding skills.

Kids Helmet

Finally, Royal Enfield’s gear and apparel team brought out new helmets for kids. A fantastic initiative to start catering towards the younger enthusiasts who go for rides with their parents on their machines, or also stepping up into the world of dirt racing.

Royal Enfield also had the Stark electric dirt bike being ripped around the dirt track by C S Santosh. So, expect something for the kiddos to come out of the association as well. More details on the Stark electric dirt bike coming soon.
