Ampere's Varghese M Thomas, Trupti Roy and Abhinandan Habisyashi receives the 2024 Best Integrated Campaign TOTM.
Ampere, the Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has bagged the top honours in the Communications Jury meet by winning the 2024 Acko Drive Awards' Best Integrated Campaign (Bike) for its sustainability campaign with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The objective of the campaign was to raise awareness about the purpose of sustainable living in a fashionable way and how EVs play a role in building a better tomorrow. For this purpose, Ampere teamed up with RCB for the 2023 season of the IPL. Ampere created a sustainability squad, dubbed the Ampere Take Charge Squad, and their attire and musical equipment were built using upcycled, recycled and scrap materials which also included discarded parts of internal combustion-engined vehicles.

Rohit Ohri, Group Chairman & CEO, FCB India, appreciated Ampere’s effort and said, “Ampere’s campaign stood out because of how they used the IPL, the cheerleading team and entirely took what the brand stood for, i.e., sustainability, and made it a fun, interesting and engaging piece.”
The TOTMs is a unique award in the automobile industry as it is the only one to have a category dedicated to communications and marketing campaigns by OEMs. In the Integrated Campaign category, participants had to showcase their campaign that used a complete end-to-end creative idea for a single marketing campaign for either the brand or a particular product. There were more than 10 entries in this category in the preliminary round and of those, five were shortlisted for the final round. Ampere stood out for its sustainability campaign in association with RCB.
