Arvind Mani presents the 2024 EV Car Of The Year TOTM to Neha Anand.
Mahindra's bold move in 2023 with its XUV400 paid off handsomely, securing the coveted title of 2024 Acko Drive Awards' EV Car of the Year. With its perfect balance of power and range, it's a game-changer for budget-savvy electric car enthusiasts.
Several factors likely contributed to the XUV400's impressive victory. Its starting price of ₹ 15.49 Lakh makes it a compelling option for budget-conscious buyers seeking an entry into the electric vehicle segment. Additionally, the XUV400 offers a well-balanced combination of performance and range, making it suitable for everyday commutes and city driving.
Launched in India on January 16, 2023, the XUV400 comes in two variants: EL and EC. Both variants share a common power output of 150 bhp and 310 Nm of torque, but differ in battery pack size and range. The EC variant comes with a 34.5 kWh battery offering an MIDC-certified range of 375 km, while the EL variant boasts a larger 39.4 kWh battery and extends the range to 456 km.
