The record achievement comes in as Ampere gears up for the launch of its premium electric scooter

Ampere has secured two titles in the India Book of Records for its upcoming electric scooter, "The Nex Big Thing." These achievements come as the company gears up for the launch of the new scooter.

Largest Logo Creation

Ampere's first record involved creating their brand logo as the largest logo ever drawn on white sand. The feat was accomplished at Dholavira in the Kutch Desert Wildlife Sanctuary, where the brand used its upcoming scooter to outline its logo across an area of 17,100 square feet. The logo's perimeter measured 394 feet.

Towing Capacity

In a separate feat, Ampere's upcoming premium offering became the first electric scooter to tow a pickup truck. The scooter successfully pulled a loaded pickup truck weighing 1,860 kg along with an additional 140 kg for a distance of 2 kilometres on the "Road to Heaven" in the Rann of Kutch.

Pre-booking for "The Nex Big Thing" is now open, with a limited "K2K Edition'' available for pre-order. We are expecting the launch of this electric scooter soon.

The company has already revealed some details about its upcoming premium electric scooter including a mid-mounted electric motor, a claimed 120 km range, a streamlined body, a large floorboard, and a broad seat for two adults. Upon launch, the Ampere NXG is expected to compete with established players like the Ola S1 Air, Ather 450S, Vida V1, TVS iQube S, and the 2024 Bajaj Chetak. The scooter is expected to be priced higher than Ampere's current offering, the Primus, which starts at ₹ 1.46 lakh.
