GEMPL’s electric three-wheelers were already benefitting from the EMPS 2024 subsidy scheme.
Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd (GEMPL) has secured approval for subsidies from the government for its electric scooters that operate under the Ampere badge. The Ministry of Heavy Industries has included GEMPL's models Ampere Nexus, Primus, Magnus, and Zeal in the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS), thus making them eligible for subsidies of up to ₹10,000.

This approval means GEMPL can now receive government benefits for these scooters. While, GEMPL's three-wheeler business was already getting EMPS benefits. Now, its two-wheeler models are also eligible. Which should help the company offer more affordable electric vehicles across India.
