Deliveries for the Ampere Nexus will start from Bengaluru from the first week of June onwards.
Ampere is celebrating its 16th anniversary by commencing deliveries of the Nexus. The brand’s flagship performance-oriented family scooter was launched last month at an introductory price of ₹1.10 lakh, in two variants - EX and ST. The latter will set you back by ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Deliveries will commence in a phased manner and will continue throughout June, with the first batch set to be delivered in Bengaluru. Customers who had previously pre-booked the scooter for ₹9,999 will be given the first preference.
Ampere has beaten quite the drum about the Nexus ahead of its launch in the form of various feats. For example, the brand accomplished K2K (Kashmir to Kanyakumari) with a pre-production Nexus and in the process set four remarkable records that are recognised by the ‘India Book of Records’. This expedition saw the electric scooter cover 10,000 kilometres across India, making it the only electric to cover such a long distance. For context, the Nexus is powered by a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery that is good for 136 km (IDC-claimed) of range on a single charge, and it takes 3.3 hours to charge fully using its standard 15A charger.
“Celebrating our 16th anniversary with the commencement of Ampere Nexus deliveries represents a significant milestone in our unwavering commitment to sustainable transportation. This occasion transcends the mere delivery of a high-performance electric scooter; it symbolises our resolute commitment to fostering a greener, more sustainable future,” concluded K. Vijaya Kumar, Executive Director & CEO of Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited.
