Apple is gearing up for a series of product announcements from Monday morning, October 28.
Apple is gearing up for a series of product announcements next week, with senior executive Greg Joswiak teasing major updates to the Mac lineup. Apple's Senior Vice President of Marketing took to X with a playful "Mac your calendars" teaser, indicating that the announcements will begin Monday morning, October 28.
Unlike previous October events, Apple appears to be foregoing a traditional single-day presentation in favour of a series of press releases spread throughout the week. This strategic shift comes just a month after the launch of the iPhone 16 series, new AirPods, and Apple Watch models.
Rumours indicate that Apple is said to unveil the M4 chip to several Mac products following its successful debut in iPad Pro models earlier this year. The expected lineup includes refreshed versions of the iMac, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini. Sources suggest the new MacBook Pro will be available in both 14-inch and 16-inch variants, with high-end models featuring M4 Pro and M4 Max chips.
The Mac mini is reportedly receiving a significant redesign, with rumours pointing to a more compact form factor closer to the Apple TV's size, albeit slightly thicker. In a notable upgrade, entry-level models across the lineup are expected to start with 16GB of RAM, double the previous standard, to better support Apple Intelligence features.
Monday will also mark the release of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 software updates with Apple Intelligence. In recent weeks, alleged retail boxes of M4-powered MacBook Pro models have surfaced on YouTube in what some are calling one of the most significant Apple leaks to date.
Apple's decision to spread announcements across multiple days aligns with previous launch strategies when formal events weren't planned.
