This annual September gathering has become a tradition for Apple to debut its newest iPhones.
Every year, Apple hosts a much anticipated September launch event to unveil the latest iPhone lineup. Like clockwork, this year, Apple has scheduled its September launch event for September 12, where it is expected to announce the iPhone 15 series.

This annual September gathering has become a tradition for Apple to debut its newest iPhones and other devices, such as the Apple Watch, heading into the busy holiday shopping season. 2023 is no exception, as various leaks and rumours strongly point to some major upgrades coming to the iPhone 15 series.
The most significant change coming to the iPhone lineup this year is the transition towards USB-C, in accordance with the EU regulation.
Additionally, rumours suggest this year, the new iPhone 15 range will likely be headlined by the iPhone 15 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro, Apple's premium flagship models. These are rumoured to feature an upgraded A17 bionic chip for improved performance, better rear cameras with larger sensors, and a more durable titanium alloy frame.
The standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to get the new pill-shaped notch from the Pro models and the A16 chip with MagSafe charging support. The new iPhones will be available in an array of colours and storage configurations to choose from.
Pricing-wise, the iPhone 15 range may start at $799 for the standard model and go up to $1199 or more for the top-tier iPhone 15 Pro Max/iPhone 15 Ultra.
