Both were unveiled for the first time in public during the weekend of the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
Aside from dominating the American GP this weekend, Aprilia was also celebrating its debut victory in the World Superbike Championship by unveiling the limited edition Aprilia RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 SBK edition models. The new bikes are inspired by the same Aprilia RSV4 Factory bike that Max Biaggi rode in 2009 on the Brno circuit, which eventually led to seven world titles (3 riders and 4 manufacturers) that included 44 wins, and 102 podiums.
Commemorating an iconic victorious story for a single model, the new limited edition RSV4 and Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 SBK bikes boast an iconic livery. Additionally, new carbon front brake air intakes and a carbon front mudguard enhance not just gives it a more performance-centric appeal, but an exclusive quotient as well.
As for the special livery, it is dominated by black with the characteristic red and white trim on the top fairing, lug, fuel tank, and tail fairing – exactly like the Aprilia RSV4 that won the debut WSBK stage. Mechanically, the RSV4 Factory SE-09 will continue with the same 1100 cc V4 engine that produces 214 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 125 Nm at 10500 rpm, and the Tuono with the 1077 cc, V4 that dishes out 176 bhp and 121 Nm.
Deliveries for the new Aprilia RSV4 Factory SE-09 SBK start from $26,499, which is a $500 premium over the standard bike. While the Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 at $19,999 is just priced at $400 over the standard. Deliveries for the new bike will start in the US and Canada from June onwards.
