The Zenbook A14 maintains a comprehensive port selection.
Asus has launched its latest Zenbook model, its new lightweight laptop with premium features. The new Zenbook A14, where "A" stands for "air," weighs 2.18 pounds (989g) and boasts an 70 Whr battery that the company claims can last up to 32 hours, says a report by Tom's Hardware.
The laptop features a 14-inch OLED display with 1920 x 1200 resolution, promising complete coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. This specification notably exceeds some competitors in the market, such as the recent Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 13), which achieved 82.4 percent gamut coverage in testing.
Despite its compact dimensions of 12.23 x 8.42 x 0.63 inches, the Zenbook A14 maintains a comprehensive port selection. Users will find a full-size HDMI 2.1 port, USB Type-A, dual USB-C 4.0 ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The laptop's remarkably low weight is achieved through Asus's proprietary "Ceraluminum" chassis material, a combination of aluminium and ceramics that has been featured in Zenbook lids for several years.
According to Asus, this material offers significant advantages over standard aluminium, being 30 per cent lighter while providing triple the strength. The company subjects the material to rigorous drop and wear resistance testing to ensure durability.
While Asus has announced the Zenbook A14 in two colour options - Iceland Grey and Zabriskie Beige - current US market specifications indicate availability only in the grey variant.
