Ather 450 Apex Rolls Off The Production Line

Ather's flagship electric scooter, the Ather 450 Apex, is ready to hit the streets. Images shared by co-founder Swapnil Jain on social media show the scooter rolling off the production line at the company's Hosur plant, with deliveries expected to commence in March.

The 450 Apex boasts a more powerful 7 kW electric motor compared to the 450X's 4.8 kW motor, translating to a quicker 0-40 kmph acceleration time of 2.9 seconds. It also claims a top speed of 100 kmph, exceeding the 85 kmph of the 450X. Read Full Ather 450 Apex Review Here

However, this performance boost comes at a cost. The ex-showroom price of the Apex starts at ₹ 1.89 lakh (Bengaluru), significantly higher than the 450X's ₹ 1.49 lakh price tag. Additionally, it is ineligible for FAME-II subsidies.

For the price, though, Ather will bundle in bits like a 750W charger, a special hand-painted ISI helmet, and TPMS as standard. Additionally, it revives the transparent body panels from the Series 1 450s, showcasing the orange trellis frame. Ather offers a 5-year/60,000 km battery warranty on the Apex, exceeding the 3-year/30,000 km warranty on the 450X.
