It will launch both variants of the 450X in November
Ather Energy has decided to seek global pastures with its highly praised electric scooter, the 450X. The Bengaluru-based electric scooter maker will start to offer its 450X in Nepal with a partnership with Vaidya Energy.
The Ather 450X has been quite a hit amongst Indians. In our experience, it has simply been beautiful to ride, delivering brilliant and consistent performance always. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea as it is clearly meant for a sporty rider with a plethora of cool tech on board.
And for Nepal, Ather will be taking both battery variants (2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh) of the scooter. Ather aims to understand the demand and acceptability of its products in emerging clean market such as Nepal so as to better tune its future products.
Ather’s Ravneet Phokela shared his thoughts on the partnership: “Ather has pioneered the electric scooter segment in India and while we continue growing domestically, we are really excited about expanding our business footprint to international markets. We have had incredible in-bound demand from multiple markets, and Nepal is the first step in our journey of going international. We see Nepal’s automobile market as a microcosm of the rising global consciousness over switching to cleaner mobility choices.”
